FLOTANT
The objective of FLOTANT project was to improve the cost, the environmental sustainability and the social acceptance of Deep-Water (100m-1000m) Wind Farms, in order to achieve the full competitiveness of this technology vs. fossil power plants and decrease the LCOE of the technology. The main target is the development of concepts and products to reduce the initial investment and maintenance costs, while improving the performance of these deep-water farms.
FLOTANT was coordinated by the Oceanic Platform of the Canary Islands. It is prepared by a consortium of 18 partners from 8 different European countries including: Croatia, France, Germany, Ireland, Slovenia, Spain and United Kingdom.
