European Technology and Innovation Platform for Ocean Energy

ETIP Ocean 2 – The European Technology and Innovation Platform for Ocean Energy –  will continue on ETIP Ocean, coordinated by Ocean Energy Europe, working with the University of Edinburgh and two additional partners: WavEC and Tecnalia. The latter three partners represent EERA. The platform is built on four key objectives: knowledge sharing and collaboration; identification of strategy for overcoming barriers to sector commercialisation; the definition of a common vision; and public engagement and education.  ETIP Ocean 2 will continue to serve the needs of the ocean energy industry as a whole, alongside R&D institutions and policymakers. 

ETIP Ocean 2 will continue to deliver stakeholder engagement, knowledge sharing and development coordination activities. In addition, ETIP Ocean will explore the sector’s social impact, with a separate socio-economic study and best practices on local community engagement.
